Celebrate May Basket Day at The Wayside Inn!
Saturday, May 1st, 2021
Two Sessions at either 10:00-10:45 am OR 11:00-11:45 am.
For children ages 5 and up and accompanying caregivers. (This is not a drop-off program.)
This program is free, but space and supplies are limited.
Registration is required at http://bit.ly/TWIFMayDay21.
This May Day (May 1st), families are invited to The Wayside Inn to learn about the 19th- and 20th-century May Basket tradition, listen to a read-aloud about Henry David Thoreau, and take a short, guided walk around our garden and Josephine's Pond. Supplies to make one take-home May Basket and a nature journal will be provided to child participants.
In the event of rain, we will have to cancel the walk, however, the rest of the program will proceed in a covered area on our property.
