Denise grew up just one mile from The Wayside Inn, and today, she maintains fond memories of her experiences here. Field trips to the Wayside Inn were integral to the Sudbury elementary curriculum. Students experienced a day in the life of children who attended the Little Red School House, they learned about bread-making in the mill, and more. Denise recalls her experiences at The Wayside Inn as rare opportunities to step back in time and gain perspective. Her favorite memories are simply listening to the muffled sounds of the fifes and drums floating through the trees to her house as the corps practiced in the warm evenings. These experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong interest in history and deep affection for the Inn and the enhancement and protection of the entire Wayside campus. Denise lives in her childhood home with her husband Mike and three grown children. For over thirty years, Denise’s passion for service has led her to cultivate deep relationships within Sudbury and its surrounding communities, resulting in a flourishing residential real estate business. She is excited to support the Inn with her vast network, and experience in hospitality management and business.
