Catherine Whitney is the Director of Advancement and Engagement at The Wayside Inn Foundation, where she combines her background in art history and nonprofit leadership with a passion for community and preservation. A Worcester County native, Catherine holds an M.A. In American Fine and Decorative Art and has worked in Advancement at The Clark Art Institute, in communications at Freedom Forum, and with the historic Salisbury Mansion in Worcester. She enjoys hiking the Inn's trails and those around town, and visitors may even catch glimpses of her dog, Fran, featured in the Inn's social posts.
The Wayside Inn Foundation is a Massachusetts 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization responsible for preservation of over 100 acres and nine historic buildings including Longfellow’s Wayside Inn.
