The Wayside Inn Introduces New Retail Partnership
Sudbury, MA – September 30, 2019 – The Wayside Inn Foundation,
the nonprofit organization responsible for the preservation of
The Wayside Inn Historic Site, announced today that it has entered
into anew retail partnership for operation of its gift shop
with Plimoth Plantation, the living history museum
in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Plimoth Plantation,
which successfully operates seven museum
shops across its three main locations, will oversee purchasing,
merchandising, and sales for The Wayside Inn’s gift shop.
The newly imagined space will offer Wayside Inn
branded items as well as goods that are reflective of the historic
site’s mission. “We are thrilled to welcome Plimoth Plantation to our property.
This serves as a platform for building stronger relationships between
our two organizations which we hope will include
collaborative programming, membership benefits and more,”
stated Gary Christelis, President of the Board of Trustees
of The Wayside Inn Foundation. “We know that our guests will be excited
with the new store concept and merchandise, much of which
features our new logo.”
"We are excited about this collaborative opportunity and to be part
of historic Wayside Inn's vision for enhancing its retail
offerings as part of the overall guest experience," said Beth Boyce,
Plimoth Plantation’s Director of Retail Operations.
The shop is now open Monday thru Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
and Sundays from 12:00 (noon) to 6:00 p.m. through Christmas.
